Okay, I just have to say…this is one of my favorite engagement sessions in such a long time. The colors, the light, their outfits…the way everything worked together is just SO pretty to me. Sometimes choosing to shoot on the beach when there is a chance of some cloudy-ness can really be a little downer but then other times the clouds decide to look like this and let in just the perfect about of light to feel soft and romantic , I am validated in why I love it so much!

Kristen and Tyler are just so cute together! We had the best time exploring Fort DeSoto for their enagement session and chatting all about their 2023 wedding plans! I tell couples all of the time not to be nervous about posing and looking good because as long as they listen to the directions and have fun together, we can make them look natural. I also warn them that sometimes it can feel a bit weird and silly but to just trust the process, and I think they did just that and then some! I couldnt stop telling them how natural they were and how excited I was to share with them the magic that we were creating!

They both have lived together in Florida for about two years now and are moving back to Ohio to be closer to family at the end of February. They knew they needed to document this part of their lives together in Florida and get their engagement portraits done here on the beach!

I think we picked the best beach location option for them to give them a bit of variety even with wanting the beach and it just so happens that either of them have explored this beach yet! So it was a win-win perfect option!

I instantly feel in love with their wardrobe options, especially the light blue dress Kristen picked out for the beach part of the session! We found out we both have a similar style when we realized we both have extremely similar engagement rings!

I had such a blash getting to know Kristen and Tyler. Their engagement session was on for the books and I had the hardest time narrowing down my favorites for this blog post! Happy scrollin’!!
