Okay, I just have to say…this is one of my favorite engagement sessions of all time. The colors, the sunlight, their outfits, the florals…the way everything worked together is just SO pretty to me. It was pure magic

Kayla and Chris are also so cute together and fun to work with!!! I tell couples all of the time not to be nervous about posing and looking good because as long as they listen to the directions and have fun together, we can make them look natural. It’s all about getting comfortable with each other in front of the camera. Granted, these two were absolute pro’s in no time, and Chris really enjoyed the extra time to be close and snuggle with Kayla!

Their wedding is based around a few pastel colors and the spring season, so naturally we had to do their engagement session to reflect that. We chose to go to some of my favorite spots that are guaranteed a spring like feel so we could have a ton of variety with trees, flowers, sunshine, and greenery. These two locations are so close to each other and offer such different backdrops that I love when we can work in both. They also wanted some by the water and marina and we had the perfect light at the end of their session for that!

Kayla and Chris went for a lighter, more neutral color scheme for the first portion of their shoot and then switched into her pink dress for a subtle pop of color. Honestly it couldn’t have been more perfect!!! If you need styling tips, ask them all the questions! She also got her hair done over at one of the best blow out bars around – Sip N Dry!

They’ll be getting married at the end of this month at the Davis Island Wedding Venue on the water. If I had this much fun during their engagement photos I know their wedding is going to be one for the books…and I’m going to have the HARDEST time choosing favorites for their blog post!
