Romantic Sand Key Engagement Session

I have been chatting with Catherine for what seems like forever!!! But in reality her and Jess only just booked me as their wedding photographer in January!!! It was smooth sailing to plan their engagement session! She knew exactly what she wanted for her portrait location and after sending her just a few spots I thought would be fantastic, she decided!

We met at the beach last Sunday evening and it was the most beautiful evening!!!! A little warm for mid-February but its Florida and what even is winter!!!? HAHA. I dont know about you but I was loving the bright, golden and semi warm weather we had! It made me SO excited for the actual Spring season to get here!!

They brought along their adorable pup, Penny for a few photos at the beginning of their session and she did SO GOOD!!!! I get SO excited when my clients ask if its okay to bring their dog to their session, they answer is yes, always yes!!!! I may or may not get distracted by lovin’ your pup though, hehe.

Penny then left us after she had her bright moment, and we got to work! These two KILLED it! Normally, the first few minutes of a session are a ice breaker and I typically do not use these images (especially if the couple has never been to a professional photo session before), but man I had a hard time narrowing down my favorite images for them!

We talked all about their wedding and Catherine + Jess’s vision for the day, how they picked their venue and I absolutely cannot wait until November to see it all unfold!!!!
