White Orchid at Oasis Wedding | Fort Myers Wedding Photographer

I have looked forward to this wedding day for SO long. First, Haley and Cole are my dream clients. They’re easy-going but really fun, they trust me and also have their own vision, they hired a dream vendor team, they have surrounded themselves with the BEST friends who were so fun to work with, and they love each other SO much.

Second, I have been looking forward to shooting at The White Orchid at Oasis in Fort Myers since Haley first inquired. I had never heard of the venue so I did a quick google search and was BLOWN away! I love that it feels like you’re being hosted in someones home and the cozy, elegant feel it gives it. It did not disappoint, even with the rain.

All week leading up to the wedding day, I was doing what every wedding photographer does…checking the weather. it was evident it was going to rain all day that day. Thankfully the White Orchid at Oasis is very neutral, with big windows, and the most gorgeous southern front porch that was perfect for literally ALL their portraits to still get bright, and beautiful photos outside! Haley spent time with the Lord that day, just to clear it up by her ceremony time. And sure enough her prayers were heard and answered, and out came the blue sky about 30 minutes before and stayed that way the rest of the evening!!

My favorite part of the day was their first look (no surprise there!). They chose to do a first look and shared a prayer together. They quietly prayed with each other and it was the perfect start to the day.

While it’s really hard to top that moment, the bridal party and all of the guests on the dance floor really gave it a run for its money!!! The reception is always a favorite of mine but this crowd was exceptional!!! The DJ kept hit after hit coming and there was never a dull moment! I loved that in the midst of dancing, every time someone saw us with the camera they were posing, smiling, whatever they felt in that moment and it made for the BEST photos!!

Haley and Cole, thank you SO much for inviting me into your lives and asking me to be a part of this special moment. You both are such lights to be around. I wish we could re-live this day every weekend but the photos will have to do! I hope you are enjoying newlywed bliss! xoxo
