Let me first start by saying how much I ADORE moments like this and sometimes I still cannot believe that my job is to still a moment in time, a moment that will be remember for years and decades to come. A moment that will be told to children and then grandchildren. How AMAZING is that!
This was not my first time meeting Kelsey and Mitchel. Which made this process a bit tricker 😉 Kelsey’s family was on vacation in St. Petersburg in June and I had the pleasure of updating their family photos for them. Mitchel reached out just a few days later telling me of his plans pf proposing to Kelsey on Gasparilla Island in Boca Grande and asked if I would travel to photograph it. OF COURSE!
We used google earth to map everything out and I was in close contact with Haley (Kelsey’s sister) all day so that Mitchel’s phone wasn’t going off a bunch! We get down to the last few minutes before it happens and Kelsey and Mitchel pass right by me on the beach so I had to think quick and turn around and be a tourist taking 58 photos of the same light house (LOL). We definitely missed judged how wide the beach was down there because I had to BOLT down the beach to their spot!
It was so incredible to witness and I am so happy I was able to preserve this memory for them and their legacy!
Enjoy some of my favorites from their Boca Grande proposal!
The next 2 cluster of photos are their friends and sister and brother in law who were on vacation with them! Kelsey and Mitchel took a break from photos to facetime their families and graciously let them grab some photos with their time!
