Tropical Destination Wedding at the Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos

This is truly one of those posts where I have sat here for 30 minutes trying to figure out what to say, because there is SO much I could say.

I first crossed paths with Cierra when she was a bridesmaid in one of my brides, Nicole’s wedding a few years back. At the end of 2018 Cierra reached out about doing a session for her and her fiancé and his 5 year old son while they were in Florida on vacation INSIDE Disney’s Magic Kingdom. You might remember them from that session because it was so cute!! You can view that here!
We had the best time roaming around Disney together, waiting out the rain, and celebrating their pregnancy with the cutest pictures for them to announce this new season with!!

Just after delivering their fun engagement gallery, I get a text from Cierra inquiring about wedding photography for their destination wedding in TURKS AND CAICOS ISLAND! She said she didn’t know if I would be interested, UHM HELLO GIRLFRIEND, Not only is that an amazing opportunity but her and Geoff are two of the best people I know. I felt (and still do) so blessed that they loved their experience so much to want to have me travel out to their destination wedding!

We spent the last few months chatting back and forth sharing excitement and details and I truly could not wait to be there for these two incredible humans!

I arrived in Turks and Caicos on Thursday afternoon and spent the next day and a half enjoying and exploring all the little island has to offer, and you guys….I cannot even begin to tell you how breathtaking this island is!

Fast forward to Saturday! WEDDING DAY! Cierra looked like a princess. Truly out of a fairytale. The ceremony was right on the water and that is where Geoff awaited his bride!! They waved to each other as she walked down the aisle (how stinkin’ cute) and their smiles were unstoppable and never ending!! They exchanged personally written vows to each other and their first kiss as husband and wife on the whitest sand and bluest water! The whole thing was just heart stopping beautiful!

Cierra + Geoff: I could not be more thrilled for you both and I want to say one more HUGE congratulations on finally being Mr. and Mrs. Shimp!!! Thank you both for being such wonderful friends and for allowing me to be a part of your incredible day…I love you!
