Colorado Trip Recap

I can’t even believe its already half way through December and I haven’t blogged my wonderful trip to Colorado yet!!! I have been DYING to go to Colorado for SO long now and when the opportunity came up I jumped on it so quick!!!!

I got to spend 5 days in this beautiful state with such a wonderful, sweet friend of mine, Marie and the Harker/Banaszak family!!!!

Day 1 was spent flying into Denver and making our way up to Aspen where we were going to be staying for the next few nights!!! I met up with Marie at the airport since she now lives in Ohio (so sad) and I instantly started asking her where the dang mountains were and she just would laugh at me! within 10 minutes of leaving the airport, I saw said mountains and figured out why she was laughing lol! We got a yummy pizza lunch in Denver and then started our drive!!! We ended up driving through some heavy snow fall, and I made Marie pull over so we could play in it (sorry hehe), we made a little hour pit-stop in Breckenridge for hot coco and crepes (so dang worth it), and then finally got to Aspen that evening!!!

Day 2 we woke up super early, in the freezing to cold to hike up to Hanging Lake! This hike was long and hard but it was so incredibly worth it, 10/10 would recommend if you’re ever in the Aspen / Glenwood Springs area!!! It took us around 3 hours. The rest of the day we just relaxed at the Ritz!

Day 3 was wedding day for John and Allison!!! What a dream wedding!!!!! We took the gondola up to Aspen Mountain where the ceremony was going to take place, and it was breathtaking!!!!

Day 4 we woke up to a winter wonderland!!!! It had snowed so much! It was fall one day and winter the next! I so love seasons! Once the snow stopped falling, we went out to Maroon Bells, which is close to one of the prettiest things I’ve ever seen in my life and then got dinner in downtown Aspen!!!

Day 5 we got a quick breakfast at a local place, took in the sites one last time of this gorgeous town and started back towards Denver for our flights home!!!
